El Puente’s response through the Wellness and Resource Hub throughout the summer wrapped up mid-September. Every child in the cohort of families from early childhood through college age was equipped with appropriate and abundant supplies to start the school year. The connecting to resources has continued as well as the wellness assessments and helping families navigate resources and referrals as they need them. We have been able to secure food through various partnerships we have made available to our families. We have also re-started our food distribution at TW in collaboration with Los Sures.
We put in two applications to further support the work of the Wellness hub: One application for $30K to The Nature Conservancy and the other to the Hispanic Federation for $10K.
