El Puente's co-founder and Chielf of Operations Eugenio (Gino) Maldonado will be honored at tonight's Southside United - Los Sures Puerto Rican Heritage month event at the Eastern District YMCA (125 Humboldt Street).
Throughout his life, Gino has dedicated himself to the betterment of his community. Aside from his leadership at El Puente, he has been a motivating leader for fair housing for the Latino Community in Williamsburg. He is a founding Board Member of Beginning with Children, and is affiliated with many community-led coalitions and organizations such as the Broadway Triangle Community Coalition, Montefiore Hospital Rehabilitation Center, Salud Coalition, I have a Dream Foundation, and many more.

Starting this Thursday, November 5th, 6-10pm, El Puente Leadership Center at Jonathan Williams Plaza will offer free yoga classes as part of the El Puente Green Light District Arts & Wellness Series (November-January).
